Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act
The Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act was developed in the year 1988. The main concept of this act is centered around waste management. The Municipal Waste Planning Act was made to encourage composting. It's goal is to reduce waste and to recycle at least 25% of all the waste in PA. This is necessary because it helps to prevent pollution from the improper disposal of solid waste ("Leo" 2008).
